Polar Bear Plunge on New Year's Day

How about participating in a cleansing, and only slightly crazy, start to the new year at the Seattle Parks and Recreation 2015 Polar Bear Plunge at Matthews Beach.
Registration begins at 10a and the plunge happens at noon. There's also a kid's only plunge a bit before noon. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary.
You may wonder if this is a sane thing to do, but I promise you won't regret it.
