Octoberfest Dachshund Racing in Huntington Beach

Every Sunday in October, Old World Village in Huntington Beach, puts on the sport of kings: Dachshund Racing! The races run from 3 PM to 4 PM. I propose Metafilters from far and near meet up at around 1 PM for sausages and beer. We'll carefully discuss the merits of the fine wiener dog athletes and then cheer them on. I'm not exactly sure, but I think the entry fees total out to $2.
Setting this up for October the 19th, at 1:00 pm. The races start around 3 Pm. I figure we'll meet up in the Old World Restaurant just to the right when you enter the place.

Ok, so how about the 5th? Maybe we'll get some more people once we set a firm date.

BTW: Turns out the sausages at Old World come from Madden.

I've never been to a meetup before but this sounds like fun- I mean, wiener dogs. Any sunday works for me.

Ok, upon close examination of their website it looks like there's a $5 entrance fee, but they have a half off coupon you can print up

Although I'm not sure if that's for the main octoberfest area only or if it applies to the restaurant and races. Anyway, hopefully $2.50 won't change anyone's mind.
