I just moved to Medford with my best bro, grobstein. I would love to meet up! We LOVE mefites! This weekend, let's meet Saturday 2pm at The Burren in Davis Square, which has outdoor seating and should be lovely.

I wish I had good suggestions for vegan places, but I don't know them well, nor do I know anyone who does. Still, I'd definitely be up for a meetup around then.

It's not necessary for the spot to be vegan, but it is nice to have some vegan options. Like coffee. Or beer. Or fries...mmm, fries.

Aaaaay! Welcome to the neighborhood! I was in Meffa yesterday, hiking at the Middlesex Fells Reservation. As far as Vegan places, I've only been to the Grasshopper in Allston, and I liked what I ate there. Dunno if I'll be able to make it next weekend, but have fun, kids!
Also be aware that on Mondays, we regularly field a MeFi Trivia Team at Tommy Doyle's in Harvard Square, and win free beers to roll over onto the next trivia get-together. We do that around every other week, but I think we may be taking a hiatus since the smarties won $300 in their summer trivia tournament. So, set that meetup notification doo-dad in your preferences!

My Thai is good. I'm a vegetarian and I actually prefer Pho Pasteur, directly below, most of the time. Both delicious though. And I do like giving my money to help the veggiefolk stay in business.

I heard that Life Alive is closed due to water damage, sadly. Veggie Galaxy is darn nice. For a more sandwichy/less meet-uppy option, check out Clover in Harvard, Inman, Brookline, and Burlington.

Having once tried to go to My Thai, which was closed, and ended up at Pho Pasteur let me note that while the latter is one of my favorites, Vietnamese food is hard to do vegan - basically, there's fish sauce in almost everything. My experience with Veggie Galaxy was pretty meh, but I've only been once. It is conveniently located near Tosci's though... =)
How vegan-friendly is Indian food? Because Punjabi Dhaba (in Inman) is THE BEST. We've had a meetup there before though so I'm not sure if folks would want to go again.

I don't know which bars are best for daytime hangin'. Maybe Charlie's beer garden (HSQ)? Somewhere else? If someone has a good suggestion, I will get the young rope-rider to update the thread.

I am VERY EXCITED! Unfortunately, a later time is weird due to weird toddler issues (toddlers: they're weird!) which keep me from being able to firmly commit to something much much later (although later is certainly a possibility), which is a bit of a bummer because I want to meet so many of you so much!
