Wed August 21 at 7:00 PM, Perdition
692 10th Avenue, New York, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
Sean liked us so much that he's willing to discount our drinks next time, so we're headed back to Perdition. This is likely to be grobstein's (and possibly the young rope-rider's also) last meetup in New York for a while.
Next week in Brooklyn.

Thanks for getting this up and running! Sean is excited to have us back, and he promises the back room will be an appropriate temperature when we get there next week.

I'm not sure if I can make it tomorrow, but will try. I may not be able to stay late, though.

As it turns out I'm not going to be able to make this one. Hope everyone has fun, though!!

We'll see you next time, zarq!

mountmccabe and I are headed out of town for a long weekend on Friday, so we're bringing most of our CSA share to the meetup. If anyone is interested in free eggplant/peppers/tomatoes/I forget what else we have this week, come and get it.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Yeah, sadly I can't either! Have a great time everyone, hope to see you at the next one.

Canceling unfortunately. It's going to be a very long day at work today.

Not sure if I can make it or not, but if so it will definitely be on the late side.

As the self-appointed guardian of the interests of the multitudes who like to eat at meet-ups and tend not to carry much cash:

There is a taco place Tehuitzingo across the street that apparently has great tacos. I have been told it is cash only. Perdition allows outside food.

As I actually was not able to attend the last meetup myself, I am not sure if Perdition either
(1.) Serves food or
(2.) Takes cards or has a card minimum

If someone knows, kindly please post.

Perdition does take cards (no idea what the minimum is, though I'd guess about $10), and does serve food. Sorry I can't make this one!

Perdition's website and menu. Menupages says they take visa, mastercard and amex. But if no one weighs in here, I suggest calling ahead to be sure.

Up for grabs at the meetup, in addition to CSA vegetables:

(2) "VOTE #1 QUIDNUNC KID" buttons I just found in the bottom of my purse.

I will bring a few "I ♥ NY" buttons to give away.

I would like to eat farm-fresh tomatoes.

Hmmmmm, is there anything in my office that anybody would want? [Looks around, roots in desk] Probably not.
posted by computech_apolloniajames at 2:39 PM on August 21, 2013

Aw, sorry I am missing it! Perdition definitely takes cards, and tacos are definitely cash only.

Tomatoes are in a bag for you, wintrymix! Also I'm here early sippin' a Goose Island Harvest and patting a good dog.

So much fun! I am a little sad to be leaving NYC and going back to the land of no meetups. I shall have to venture forth again. Thanks for being so warm and welcoming!
