Since alcohol and MeFites seem to mix well and it's Bockbeer time, when not meet up next Saturday for the 35th annual Amsterdam bockbeer festival?
The event is held from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Saturday early in the afternoon is usually nice and quietish, ideal for meeting up, getting a few bokbeers, then seeing if there's anything else to do in Amsterdam...
Entry price to the festival is ten euros, beer coins cost 2.50 euro.

Would love to make it, but moving house the following Monday and Tuesday. If I can make it, it'll be kind of last minute.

If he's willing to schlep over to Wageningen, the guesthouse here is 30 e or some such plus breakfast for short term guests. I was only going to be able to come up to say hello on the 30th. Flying on the 31st.

In my experience, Noordwijk is a bit of a challenge to get to by public transport at any time of the day.

Welp, you have to take a train and then a bus, total travel time little over an hour. Looks like the last train leaves A'dam CS at 11:49pm, taking you to Leiden CS to catch the 12:27am bus to Noordwijk, putting you there at 12:54am. And good luck getting to a final destination - no counting on busses or cabs in smallish place late at night.

It turns out that the, no doubt simply mechanically catapulted, porcine accomodation I was able to reserve is at their 'beach hostel' there. Whoops.
