Los Angeles: Clothing/household items/books/etc swap?

Inspired by this fpp about how much crap we Angelenos have in our homes, I was thinking why not shift some of those piles around? Whatever doesn't go home with someone we donate to Out of the Closet.
Is anyone interested?
You and books: me and clothes.
Maybe a park and we all just put our crap out on blankets?

I have books and clothes and household items. I suggest avoiding a place with a lot of concrete if this heat keeps up. (The top of the Hollywood Home Depot parking lot will be very hot, if that was a serious suggestion, carsonb!)

I love this idea and would like to participate, even if I'm a little afraid that I would just end up with more stuff than I started with. Griffith Park could work, or Elysian Park?

What about doing it on a Sunday in the late afternoon or early evening, to avoid the worst of the heat (since my plan of wishing really really hard for it to cool down doesn't seem to be working)?
