Distilled Crazy After All These Years - Whisky/Whiskey Tasting Redux
Three years after our last (very successful) whisky-centric meetup/potluck, we're doing another one at my house! Bring a bottle of something you either like, or haven't tried but are curious about; we take little tastes of each, we compare and contrast, we all go home a little happier, wiser, and tipsier. Obviously, good liquor can be pricy, so if you can't afford an expensive (or even mid-priced) bottle that doesn't mean you aren't welcome! Booze is appreciated, and bringing a bit of food is encouraged, but come one come all. Whiskey Tasting at Greg_Ace's house
At the last Portland meetup, the subject of a scotch tasting came up. The backstory is long and unnecessary, but the upshot is that we thought it sounded like a hoot and I'm willing to host it at my house in SE Portland (4414 SE Center St., near SE 42nd and Powell). NOTE: The original plan of "five or six different types of scotch" has mutated into "whiskey" in general, to include Irish whiskey and bourbon. [more inside]
