Hello Louisville peeps. I assume most of you have nearish family/friends to hang with on this upcoming holiday, but in case you don't: Greg Nog and I are hosting a Straysgiving at our place on Thanksgiving Day. We will cook everything and it will be delicious and also we have lots of boardgames and Bob's Burgers Thanksgiving songs and all you have to do is bring yourself and your appetite (for destruction). If there is any interest, I will follow up with our address (the currently-listed address is just for Shelby Park, our lovely neighborhood).
A spin off from the other New Years meetup thread. Things that are known: wanting to go to the steam whistles at Pratt; wanting to eat, drink, and be merry beforehand. Things that are unknown: Where and when to eat, drink, and be merry. [more inside]
I'll be sticking around Hong Kong for the holidays. Does anyone else want to just have a night out of food and drink?? (Also, are we still the most ascetic mefi meetupers ever??)
Open invitation to any Portland Mefites who for whatever reason aren't planning to spend the holiday otherwise occupied visiting or being visited by relatives, and are interested in getting together during the weekend of Dec. 22nd - or perhaps 29th? - for a relaxed and calorie-filled nondenominational dinner. I'd be willing to host, as well as roast or smoke meat of some sort. People could bring side-dishes / desserts / drinks - you know, the usual. We can toast the season, have some fun, and avoid sitting home alone in the dark drinking box wine and feeling maudlin and sorry for ourselves! Yay! [more inside]
Feeling the need for some SF MeFite love this holiday season? Let's do the usual and get some drinks somewhere. Open to suggestions for both dates and bars with awesome seasonal beverages.
Brooklyn Inn! Holiday! Secret Astronaut Dessert! Have location and date!!!
I'm heading back to Tulsa for Christmas and thought hey, why not actually call for a meetup? Downside, of course, is I'm calling for a meetup right around Christmas. [more inside]
Last night at our pub trivia meetup, I floated the idea of some sort of MeFi holiday gathering, and got positive responses. So, let's work this out. Who's up for a party? [more inside]
Anyone interested in working on holiday projects for an afternoon in the company of other Pittsburgh MeFites? I have access to a house with several sewing machines, or we can meet at a library or coffee shop. [more inside]
