Hey, so I'm new to MeFi and would really like to get to know the other MeFites in Singapore (: Let's go for makan! Anyone up for it? :D Confirmed: We will be going to a Trivia Night on Tuesday, 5th February 2013, 7.30 pm at Boomarang at 60 Robertson Quay, Singapore. Then food/drinks/dessert after! We'll meet at Boomarang at 7.15pm before the event commences. We won't be having dinner before the event. The more the merrier! Please comment if you can make it :D

Wednesday May 16th, 12:45ish? It's supposed to be nice next Wed so I propose a lunch at one of downtown food cart pods. There's on one 5th and Oak and another on 3rd and Washington and yet another at 10th and Washington. I've set it for the cart pod on 3rd between SW Stark and SW Washington and walking to the waterfront for eating. I know that Built to Grill is over there but other than that, it's a mystery to me. Bring cash since most places don't take cards.

MeFi Lunch - PDX/Chinatown style

Next lunch will be at Chen's Good Taste (no website of their own, sorry), located on NW 4th near the Chinatown gate. We meet once a week for lunch somewhere downtown. It's good opportunity to try places you might not have been or go to an old favorite! I wasn't able to find the menu so maybe I'll scan it at work and put it up. My co-workers say the wonton soup is really good and I've had the BBQ pork which is also delicious. The internet reviews might be sort of harsh but I think it's because people who work in the Pearl shouldn't descend below Broadway unless they want to slum it up with us Old Townies. I can't say how veg friendly this place is but if you're bothered by roasted ducks hanging in the window and such this is not the place for you. That place is next door, at Vegetarian House.
