I am pleased to report that after nearly a year of plotting, planning, panicking, pulsating, pirouetting, and just plain old freaking out, feistycakes and I will be moving to the 02568 zip code by early June. So come get drunk with us one last time at my old fave Ceol, Sat. May 25 from 5 to 9 pm or so. We'll probably migrate to the Brooklyn Inn once Ceol starts the karaoke. I'll be the dork in the Metafilter T-shirt. Get there early for prime backyard position!

As of now, Thursday is looking to be rainy (c'mon May, get it together). How about the newish The Hollow Nickel on Atlantic? Close to all your favorite public transit lines. Update: Now that this is moved up a week, who knows what the weather will be. We can update it to an outdoor place if it looks like it'll be nice.

Our May meetup will be Saturday the 11th. Bring your games, snacks and/or drinks. Please post in the thread what you're bringing so others can make sure they don't bring the same thing, and/or so they can drool over the thought of homemade cookies. March's board game meetup lasted 9 hours, and April's lasted 8, so feel free to come over even if you can't make it for the first hour or three.

Potluck portion (if you're interested) starts at 7 - we'll be serving some kind of (vegan) group dish - if folks can bring either a vegan food item or beverage (beer is always a good pick), that's appreciated, but what's most important is to bring yourself. Movie starts at 8 on the dot. Also: PLEASE RSVP, even if it's just to say maybe. This is being held in our living room, which is not infinitely large, so we need to know how many people are coming, and whether we should expect you. This week, we're trying out moving our Criterion night to Thursdays, with: Akira Kurosawa's I LIVE IN FEAR ("his most literal representation of living in an atomic age"). Because it's on a weekday, we're starting a little later: food at 7, movie at 8.
