So lizbunny proposed a meetup, and it seems like we agreed on March 20th, but the event is listed as having happened. Thus, a re-post.

This way, it appears in the future, for the benefit of all southern Alberta MeFites for whom time is still a linear constraint, marching ever forward. The fact that it appears we had two meetups and are now on the "most active" list is but a happy side-effect.

October meetup for those that are interested in meeting up for drinks and possibly something to eat.
Suggesting mid-week meetup so those that work downtown can attend, although if there is a consensus for the weekend, we could meet Oct 12th/13th.

Lizbunny suggested the Unicorn on Stephen Avenue (map). Beer selection there is good and they usually run specials, food is standard pub fare.

We're having the meetup now at the Hop In Brew Pub

Sorry about the hectic rearranging of the Sept 8 event, I had to cancel my plans to host the wine and appetizer thing on short notice, due to a friend begging me last-minute to help out elsewhere that evening. Will have to try again in the new year perhaps. But as there was so much interest in having a meetup on the 15th as well, I'm rescheduling for that weekend at the good ol' Hop In Brew. Arcticseal may post another meetup for next weekend on his own (in which case I will take this one down) - he's taking the helm as I'll be out of town for a wedding. Stay tuned in early November for the next meetup, I'm thinking closer to Remembrance Day weekend.

Meetup: Calgary Stampede Meetup

Stampede is on in Calgary in early July and promises to be a fiesta of people slacking off work early. May's meetup was fun, does anyone want to meetup again during Stampede week?

Open to suggestions of venues and activities from those who know Calgary better since I'm a Stampede n00b. ----- Looks like we're settled on 18:00 on July 10th (Tuesday) at Kawa. Let me know if you're coming.

Calgary Meetup at the Hop In Brew

*** UPDATE*** Well let's just shoot for the last weekend of May and see if that works for anyone :) I haven't been to the Hop In Brew yet, looks like a perfectly acceptable choice. I'm putting down Friday, May 25 - if you want the date changed let me know. Will see if I can make a reservation, will make it next week.
