Exhibition: Hot Metal Open House at C. C. Stern Type Foundry
I'm in town to visit the C.C. Stern Type Foundry's Museum of Metal Typography which is having a Hot Metal Open House. Museum volunteers will demonstrate the process of making type for letterpress printing from hot metal. Anyone want to join? I'm going to show up near the beginning at 1 p.m. Suggested donation is $5.

Etc: Auditions for Three Dollar Bill (queer a cappella cabaret)
Three Dollar Bill is a newly forming eight-voice vocal ensemble, based in NYC/Westchester County.
Repertoire will include cabaret standards, neo-cabaret amusements, and classics from all over the GLBTQ musical canon. Auditions for all voice parts, plus vocal percussion, will be held on Wednesday, September 18th, 2013. Rehearsals will likely be held in Manhattan. Arrangers especially encouraged to get in touch!
