I'm in Portland Sunday afternoon (5th) through Friday mid-day (10th). I'd love to meet some mefites over drinks. Ideal days for me are Sunday (I get in around 3) or Thursday night. I'm staying a few miles south of downtown and am happy to get anywhere that public transport takes me.

Edit: All Systems Go for a meetup on August 26th (a Sunday) at Noon at the Rendezvous Tavern for drinks and a free (with drink purchase) buffet served up by Nirvana. Hopefully this will become the start of a once-a-month-or-so meetup series that'll give us all an excuse to go out and kick back with some Internet People every so often. Hoyland is still coming to town, but there wasn't a sudden upswell of people for the BBQ idea, so that's pretty much dead now. Flapjax has suggested Koenji, but that's a bit far for me, personally (although I'm sure it'll be an awesome show). Other than that, I don't know. There's various and sundry drinking establishments in Tokyo, and as mentioned, I'm partial to Yurakucho area, though reservations might be a good idea on a Saturday night. Any ideas?
