I haven't been to a single meetup since that long-ago Scotch tasting. I am, as of last night, back in town. I'd probably be up for something; that said, like mollymayhem's, my sentences are confusing and compound and my efforts to show up usually fail.
I can't do most week nights and can't do the afternoon of the 29th, but don't have strong feelings about dim sum one way or the other.

I'm out of town from the 20th until the 31st, but my other half is here from the 17th until the 20th (we leave late that evening). Might be able to drag him to something - evenings are probably better so we can tackle our never-ending list of fixit projects during daylight. Transit-friendly venues are always appreciated.

This Friday (2012-01-20) at The Sycamore. They have a nice partially-covered back patio that's rather cozy, tasty beer and wine, sliders/salads/pork-belly donuts, and some board games. If it rains they obviously have indoor seating as well. It's a block from 16th & Mission BART. 7 PM?
If anyone has better concrete ideas feel free to propose them.
