I did, in fact, promise that if I hit 1000 faves I'd have a party. So, I will be hosting a shindig on my roof, open to all, in honor of everybody getting favorites all the time forever.
This is happening Saturday, August 27th. So there. The address attached is totally wrong because I didn't want to put my home address on the internets. Therefore, memail me for my address if you want to come!

I live on the Lower East/SoHoish. I'll provide a negligible amount of wine and snax, but it'll be low-key BYOWhatever. I'm thinking not this weekend, but next. Maybe next Saturday, round 9? I will be kicking y'all out at midnight, due to noise. But we can keep party hardy-ing at nearby Marshall Stack.
Also, I really am going to see if I can't hook up the tinychat webcam so that everybody can come. Bring it, Idaho. You too, California.

We've been having a bit of trouble with leaving the dog alone (and she's never travelled anywhere yet, much less between boroughs), so the lady and I will play this one by ear.

Apparently our upstairs neighbor was able to tell me exactly when I left and got home last Friday night because there was interminable barking in between the two events.

I'm a definite maybe I'll be coming from the SI Food Truck Rally so may be too stinky for human company, but I'd hate to miss it.

I'll be at the Compleat Strategist for a game that usually ends five-ish (or before six-ish, I guess) so it may depend on how I'm feeling about life after saving the Earth from an alien invasion fleet.

Yep, actually this is probably a good postponement. NPR's "Hurricane Irene-a-thon" is freaking me right out.
