Meet The Lady: Working Girls

After 14 consecutive months, our variety show inspired by the Meet The Lady tumblr blog (a former MetaFilter Project and FPP) will be going on vacation. June will be the final installment of the MTL show in its current format -- we'll be back in the fall with a whole new gameplan! Anyhow, if you've been meaning to check us out, this is your chance -- we'll be serving up a tribute to Working Girls.
The show will consist of film/TV clips, live performances, and ribald entertainments, hosted by yours truly. Featuring:
Rare excerpts from "Shades of Love" presented by I Love Bad Movies
Project Runway finalist Kenley Collins
Award-winning author Judy Blunt (Breaking Clean)
And Q&A's with many other hard-working women!
Also: snacks by The Food Daddy (aka Cas Marino), burlesque by Iris Explosion, and perfume samples from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab!
92YTribeca is walking distance from the A,C,E,1,N,Q, and R trains. There's a cafe attached to the screening room that sells food, beer, and wine which you can bring into the screening room. -- and we always party afterward. Let's hang out!

I was all ready to RSVP a wholehearted YES because I was unceremoniously pulled into work late and had to miss the last one, but alack, I'm in Ohio that entire week.

I'm so glad to see so many mefite aspirants on the list. You guys are the best. Seriously, after doing 15 of these events in 15 months, I'm exhausted, but the enthusiasm from you guys is a big push. Thanks for that, whether I get to see you tonight or not!

Another triumph, hermitosis. Not sure how you're going to top causing Gay Marriage when MTL returns in September - maybe an MTL wedding ceremony?
It was nice to finally hear Iris Explosion speak. I gotta admit, I've been a little uncomfortable with the burlesque portion of the evening, but the Q&A made me feel less so. (And I ended up on the same subway as Iris afterwards, so I was especially glad that you'd broken the ice for me.)
