Like puzzles, ciphers and scavenger hunts? DASH (Different Area, Same Hunt) is a fun group event taking place in multiple cities this weekend. We've reserved a team spot for Portland and would like 2-4 more people to join us for Saturday morning puzzle-y adventures.
The event is being run by the people who do Puzzled Pint and is supposed to be lots of fun. We're both experienced ARG puzzle solvers, or at least are the type of people who think drinking beer and solving puzzles is a great way to spend an evening.

You can see examples from the previous two DASH events here. The site says the entire hunt can take between 2 to 7 hours. I don't think it'll take anywhere near as long as 7 hours, but if it does, you can guarantee there will be post-event beer.

Let me know if you're interested in joining our team (More Honey, Shorter Flowers), we'd love to have you. Also give us a shout if you're already signed up!

Short notice for this weekend, but in principle this sounds fun.

I'll be there, with my team, the Gospel Tentacle Revival.

We'll finish late, I'm sure, but be up for beers and harrowing tales of puzzle solving after.

You're right mimo, I'm sorry. A friend I was hoping could join just told me they couldn't make it. :\

This sounds like a ton of fun and definitely up my alley, but I think this weekend is out for me-- it's supposed to be fairly nice out this weekend and my wife will shoot me in the face with a bazooka if I don't help her out in the garden.

I'd definitely be up for something like this some other weekend, though.

Hey, can I join? I'm not super experienced with this type of puzzle, but I am reasonably bright; I think I'd be an asset, or at least not a huge liability. Also, I do not have a garden, or a bazooka-toting wife, so I'm free all day.

dersins, there are events like this pretty regularly -- hell, I'm even making a street games thing with a friend of mine -- so I'll be sure to post about them here when they pop up.

maqs, sure thing! I'll forward you the details and the first puzzle, they just sent them today. (p.s. If anyone else wants the first puzzle I would happily send it along, it's a good one.)

Normally I'd be up for this, but my Saturday mornings are occupied by class for the next few weeks.
Any chance y'all will congregate at some beer-serving locale in the after?

nickthetourist, I'm gonna say it's like 99% probable. I'll post details on the morning of, but it'll probably be in SE.

We could always meetup at Portland’s Cheers to Belgian Beers in the afternoon.
Bonus: it's located near a MAX line.

We've congregated at Ringlers if you want to join! Big group in the right room.
