Welcome to the lucky thirteenth installment of my monthly variety show (inspired by the Meet The Lady tumblr blog -- a former MetaFilter Project and FPP). The show consists of film/TV clips, live performances and ribald entertainments, hosted by yours truly. This month's theme is Death and the Maiden (Previously, on MeFi Projects). I can't think of a better way to celebrate Good Friday...

Just want to let you freaks know that the last show sold out and people were turned away. So if you are planning on going, I would definitely get a ticket in advance, even if just the day before.

Hope a bunch of y'all will come out! The cafe, as it turns out, will be closed -- though the bar is still open. Anyhow, we'll still have a snack to serve during the show, and maybe pizza afterward is in order

Man, being Jodi Foster is hard. Men are always trying to rape her (the clip tonight, Hotel New Hampshire, the one with the Pinball machine), sell her into prostitution (Taxi Driver), or mindfuck her (Silence of the Lambs). Hell, even in Contact the men around her were trying to fuck her career. She never just has issues with a bitchy coworker or something, like Sandra Bullock would.
