If any [mid-; lower- ] Hudson Valley MeFites need a ride, that is something I could do, too.

I can do it, but earlier is better-- I need to be in the Union Square region by 3:45 PM that day. I doubt we'll be dumpling-ing for too long, though.

I think so-- takes about an hour and a half to get to Union Square from there on a weekend with the shuttle buses to/from 111th. But 1PM works.

I mean, I can eat a lot of dumplings, but not like 3 hours' worth of dumplings. I can leave cash and duck out early if we go that long.

You know what, the Weekender only says through March 7th-8th, but I don't know if they're thinking to replace other portions of track. LIRR is also convenient there.

I’m most likely going to drive in from Jersey City, so I can drop you off in Manhattan on my way back home if that works out to be faster/easier than the public transit options on Dumpling Day.

This now is looking like a no go for me due to public health concerns unrelated with Flushing, dumplings, or MeFites. Sorry!

I guess we should wait and see until the week-of if we should postpone? This seems like a low-risk event for me given that I’d be driving and the restaurant & mini-mall that it’s part of isn’t generally super-crowded, but i figure we’re all going to be trying to keep our subway trips down to essential trips only until the virus outbreaks are contained, so it’s an unnecessary cross-borough trip for most people.

Yes, reschedule-- I probably won't be able to make it (fingers crossed, my move and new job are still there for me) but I want to know that there are dumplings waiting after all this.

Anyone interested in a Zoom cocktail hour kind of thing? I was thinking about setting up a virtual At Home.

My job switched all our phone numbers into Zoom last month (because it was cheaper than our existing phone contract, and because we were moving offices it simplified things to get rid of everyone's desk telephones and use Zoom on our computers or phones instead). I guess I could have a separate login/account under my personal email account, but I'm leery of crossing the streams.
