Have you always wanted to check out a roller derby bout? YES YOU HAVE AND NOW YOU CAN. This is a double-header for Free State Roller Derby (FSRD) as their A Team, the Black Eyed Suzies, take on the Morgantown Roller Vixens--and their B Team, the Rock Villains, take on TEAM FRANKENSTEIN, composed of skaters from all over. Roller derby is SO MUCH FUN and you should definitely come to this. Doors at 4, first whistle at 5.

- FSRD usually has a fundraising bake sale going!
- Costumes encouraged but not required for this masquerade brawl!
- FSRD skaters' names include Waka Blocka-Dame, Bald Kegel, Natty Boh'ncrusher, and Nasty Pelosi.
- By tradition, skaters and fans alike meet up for dinner and drinks after; any mefites in attendance can make our own plans on the spot, maybe?
A bit of a haul from Arlington but maybe my 5y/o would be interested in going. Though I guess I should refresh my own memory of the rules so I can explain what's going on :)

OK, I have a horrible headache, and from what I know of roller derby, I think a bout might be pretty horrible for it. I'm going to have to flake out, which sucks. I'm rooting for your skaters from here on my couch, duffell!

No worries, rue72, catch us next time! We plan on attending every home game we can, so when the season starts up again we'll post another IRL event.

This was super fun, though... my wife CatastropheWaitress attended for her first time and really enjoyed it! Also, the bake sale items were especially delicious.
