NYC Mefi "Knitting" Group: POSTPONED TO May 20

NYC's May Knitting Circle HAS BEEN POSTPONED to May 20. And issuing the reminder: we are NOT just for knitters; if your craft is portable, you are welcome.
Same time, same place: this month we are meeting the THIRD Sunday of the month at City Bakery on 18th Street (we will resume the 2nd Sunday of the month in June). We usually take a table on the upstairs balcony/mezzanine/thingy.

Come see how far everyone's gotten on their projects! Come celebrate the fact that Empresscallpygos finally found that damn scarf that she was going nuts looking for in her apartment for two solid months!

Welp: I've also just had a conflict (my best friend's father died, and I have to travel out of state for the funeral two days prior to this). I don't know what time I'd be back.

Since everyone seems to be not so available this particular date, would people like to postpone to the 20th? Or just cancel and resume in June?

Hey guys - it doesn't look like anyone's going, so unless someone comments here by the end of the day Wednesday to say "wait, I'll be there" i'm going to cancel for May.

I'm down as a maybe, but I can commit to definitely being there if we want to keep it on the schedule to maintain continuity.

Someone mentioned scheduling a week night--that might be something that could be tried next month, or even later this month if anyone is interested.

I'd be cool with rescheduling for the 20th. Or we can wait until June. My gut says we should go with the 20th to not lose momentum.

Okay, y'all aren't going to believe this but I have gone and double-booked myself AGAIN. There is a small dinner party in my apartment tomorrow, which I initially thought "okay, that will be fine because I will be done with this by the time people show up at 6"...but I forgot that with a dinner party you need to, like, ACTUALLY MAKE FOOD, and will need to be doing that. Heck shoot.

I am leaving the meeting up, but I personally will not be there. Sorry about this, everyone; I'll be present next month, but I think this month I'm out.
