ThePinkSuperhero will be visiting her old stomping grounds in Salem, MA on Sunday, September 18th. Things will be a bit witchy, but not as witchy as they get in October, so people are encouraged to come up, wander around, and get their snack/dinner on.
I figure we can gather for a wander around town around 4ish and then settle in for dinner sometime later. Things should not be all ZOMG SALEM HALLOOOOWWWEEEENN yet, but there will be plenty of stuff to see, witch tchotchkes to be had, and maybe even a local brew or two to be had. Kids okay - we'll have our 6 year old on hand to show you the best Pokemon hunting grounds.

Venues depend on the number and mood of people visiting. We run the gamut in Salem, from traditional lobster shack to oldschool videogame arcade/bar to cafes to street food and so on.

I'm keeping an eye on the weather. If it's rainy then there are multiple venues we can hide out at. Right now I have the initial meet at the site of the Old Town Pump fountain at Washington and Essex Streets, but can shift it to somewhere more indoors if needed.

Last time I was at the Willows 10 years ago, my son and I gamed one of the oldskool "horse race" machines, got a zillion tickets, and chose two decoy ducks from the prize gallery. Good times.

Anyway, I'm attending. See you at Washington and Essex! I think that's near a coffeeshop my band used to play gigs at, so if you need caffeine, Salem's got that type of witches' brew too. I may bring a couple of Salem friends if they can make it.

Keep an eye on the weather! If raining out, I would suggest the Front Street Coffeehouse (20 Front Street) as a staging area; that's open until 5PM, and a 3 minute walk from 228 Essex St. I'll keep an eye out on the thread as I make my way to Salem.

Folks, disappointed to report we won't be able to make it. The kids are still napping which means they'll be livid if I try to put them in a car in an hour and with my wife out of town they call the shots. Would have been great to see you again TPS, have fun and best to all. 😞

If it's raining, Front Street will totally work as a meeting spot. Robocop is currently driving down from a quick trip to New Hampshire, we expect to be there right around 4.
