City Hall Park, Broadway, New York, NY, USA (Map & Directions)
Smorgasburg is back for the season. Anyone interested in checking it out again after a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge?
(last year's thread, gothamist 2015 opening day review.) So, same as last year, let's congregate at City Hall Park, by the subway entrances, then take the stroll.

I'd love to come, but I can't make that date because I'm doing the Five Boro Bike Tour that day. Though the tour isn't going over the Brooklyn Bridge, it's supposed to go under it. So unless you like crowds and road closures I would pick a different day.

I'm busy or not around the weekends of May 3-4 and May 23-24, and also maybe not May 30-31.

Well, this weekend's weather forecast seems to change every time I check my phone, but seems to be settling on some kind of storminess on Saturday and then on the warm side for Sunday. So, should be much like last time - lovely Bridge walk weather followed by some hot trudging around the food vendor booths. Should be good ice cream weather though.

I think I would like to join you guys for Smorgasburg but not the bridge (can't bring myself to go so near my office this weekend) so please keep the thread updated on your progress! Also, we should check out this Brooklyn Bridge Park art exhibit!

So, what's our actual head count at this point? And how do people feel about tomorrow's weather? I haven't seen any real rain here yet, but now they're saying scattered thunderstorms starting sometime today and continuing on through the morning. Wondering if we should bump this out to May 31st.

I'm happy to make a final decision tomorrow morning. Last I heard it was scattered storms Sunday afternoon. If it's not raining/storming, I may go to Smorgasburg anyway.

For what it's worth, I can't do the 31st and would definitely go to the Smorgasburg portion tomorrow, since it seems like rain will happen only later in the day, but if y'all wind up rescheduling I don't mind.

I'm still in for the walk and Smorgasburg. Heading out in about 10-15 mins as the Q is a little funky this morning. I'll keep checking this thread.
