Valentine's Burgers and Drag Queens

Calling all singles, bitter spinsters, confirmed bachelors, and Hallmark haters. Let's thumb our nose at Valentine's Day by eating some burgers, seeing some drag queens, and supporting the creation of housing for queer and transgender youth. Full itinerary inside.
5:00 - 7:30: -MLO Tape Release Party
3156 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, Illinois 60647
There's a free show at Bric A Brac Records! If you live in Logan/Avondale and you want to take the bus with me (exciting!), this is where we're meeting up. We'll probably leave between 7-7:30.
7:30-8:30: Transit time: Diversey Bus, transfer to Damen bus
8:30 - 9:45: Dinner at Hamburger Mary's (5400 N Clark). If you're coming from a different part of the city you can just meet us there! Let's create a soft landing place for all the novelty gay bar drinks we're going to be consuming later.
10:00pm: Elegant Fur Presents: Tainted Love
This is a drag show to benefit Project Fierce Chicago! Please bring cash; it's a pay-what-you-can at the door benefit, and all donations will be matched. if you have earlier plans you can totally just meet up here!
You probably want some cash, an ID, a Ventra card, and some singles to tip the queens. A non-mefite friend and I are probably gonna split a cab back to Avondale at the end of the night, if that helps anyone else out.

Unfortunately I already have Valentine's Day plans, but I've sent a donation in my stead. Hope the fundraiser is a success-- it sounds like a great mission!

There is a very good chance I and a friend will meet you at Hamburger Mary's! I'll follow up here again if it turns out we can't make it.

Yay! I will follow up here tomorrow about our various movements. For anyone who hasn't met me before, I'm half-Mexican, wear large plastic glasses, will be wearing a red heart-dotted dress and a pink sweater, and will have a couple people with me. I may be checking an ipad and/or furiously spilling beer on myself when you spot me.

I am really sorry to say that I am wimping out because it is way too cold outside today. I'm following Eamon's most excellent lead and have made a donation since I won't be there in person tonight. I hope it's a blast and I'm sorry I won't get to join you!
