Change of plans! Delicious Mexican food in Riverwest! Huzzah!
I'm a maybe for the 7th. It looks like the latest tour that day is at 5:15. My non-MeFi wife, who would like to attend, works until 5:00 that day and couldn't get to the brewery by 5:15. I might be able to make it myself, however.
But don't pick a new date on our account. My wife often works until 5 on Saturdays, so I'm not sure that a different date would be any better.

FYI I tried the new alcoholic root beer last year and it is horrrrrrrrrrible, but ymmv.

I think if you want alcoholic root beer, your best bet is to get a mug of A&W and drop a shot of Wild Turkey into it.

Friends, I saw a notice today that the bottling line would be shut down until the 15th for maintenance. Do we want to make other plans? That would seem to me to be the most interesting part of the tour.

Doesn't matter to me. But one option is to revert to the Lakefront Brewery tour or the Milwaukee Brewing Co. tour. Also, for at least the Sprecher and Lakefront tours, I think we need to either make reservations or buy tickets ahead of time. When should I pull the trigger on that? I'd prefer to wait until we're sure where we're going.

Dang! I was going to suggest the Great Lakes Distillery tour, which is all kinds of awesome, but Saturday's 4 and 5 PM tours are sold out already. It looks like Lakefront tours are sold out for Saturday and the only available slot for MKE Brewing Co. is 1 PM. I'm not a beer drinker under any circumstances, but if we want to do another brewery tour, I'd be glad to offer my samples up for pouring into anyone else's cup!
Otherwise, how do we collectively feel about some sort of food-with-drinks sort of deal? I am overwhelmingly partial to Cafe Corazon because they have everything I love about life (strong and delicious drinks, vegan options, excellent guacamole, multiple hot sauces, close to home) but I'm happy to venture out of my little self-imposed Riverwest-only circuit and meet y'all anywhere you'd like to go.
