BBQ/Cocktail meetup

It's BBQ Time again! Also, at a recent meetup someone mentioned that another cocktail event would be fun - so let's combine the two!
I plan on smoking a pork roast and a chicken. Anyone else who wants to provide additional things to be smoked, MeMail me ahead of time so we can coordinate (I'd need at least 2-3 days notice). Otherwise people can bring hors-d'oeuvres or side dishes such as salad, veggies, potatoes, dessert, ...you know the deal.

At a guess, I'd think bourbon-, scotch-, or tequila-based drinks would pair well with BBQ, or I'm sure you can find plenty of suggestions online. I'll start a spreadsheet for food and beverage ingredients soon, and post a link here.

Selfishly, I'd suggest something in November since the only weekend I'll be in Portland during October is the 18th/19th and those days are spoken for.

To make up for that, I can smoke some brisket.

I'm completely unsure of which weekends may or may not work, so I think I'll hold out for the consensus and plan accordingly.

It looks like the other meetup is possibly settling on the third weekend in November, leaving us to choose from the first (11/1 or 11/2) or second (11/8 or 11/9) weekends. Does anyone have a preference? Saturday? Sunday? Can't do certain days? Shall I flip a coin and let the chips fall where they may, to mix a metaphor?

I will bring some sort of a side dish that wants to be near smoked meat. It might be a vegetable (read: brussels sprouts), or else a mac-and-cheese.
