This New Englander will have some free time in Portland next month and I've never met the local MeFites. After some discussion we've settled on talk and drinks and food at The Mash Tun Brewpub on Alberta. We'll start around 6pm and stay there until we feel the need to walk the block to Salt and Straw or somewhere else the locals suggest. See you soon!

I'll be in the mood for drinkin' things, eatin' things, and talkin' 'bout things. We should probably refine the location beyond "Alberta" before I confirm the event. We're up to 15 including maybes—do any of you want to suggest a suitably roomy venue?

We could do the Mash Tun; nice enough bar, bunch of taps, serves totally okay food (and it's right in the middle of Alberta's primo territory so there's a ton of other food nearby as well); has some outdoor seating if the weather is accommodating and a decent amount of room inside if not; is technically around the corner from Alberta St. proper and so might see a little less random non-mefite traffic than some other places on the street.

I don't think I've managed to make it to a meet-up since the 10th anniversary, but Mash Tun is ~7 blocks from my house.
