I have been wanting to check out the MoMA PS1 museum, an extension of MoMA in Long Island City. On Saturdays in the summer, they also have Warm Up Dance Parties from 3 - 9 pm.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 day of, but they get you both into the museum and to see the show.
