I'm moderating a panel at New York Comic Con! I'll be joined by Faith Erin Hicks, Carla Jablonski, Tracy White, and Jane Yolen. We'll be talking about the art of comics storytelling.
How are comics different from prose books, from picture books and screenplays and illustration? What makes a story something that should be told in the comics format? Four creators talk about their inspiration to work in the comics medium and how words and pictures come together to make great storytelling. Moderated by Margaret Maloney of Bloomsbury.
Coming to Comic Con? Let me know! I'd love to see other mefites there, and if there's enough interest, we'll throw together an organized meetup.

Would love to come, but I'll be in Boston all weekend (though I'll be at the opening of comic con on Friday).

I'll be at the Javits all day Saturday & Sunday -- we (New Video/A&E) have a booth this year in the dealer's room. I'm not sure which hours I'll actually be needed to work the booth, but I should probably be able to play hooky long enough to see your panel.

Video or it didn't happen! Won't happen. Whatever. But, seriously, if a video of the panel is recorded and made public, please post a link here for us not going to be in NYC let alone Comicon folk.

I'll be at Con, but will be absent around from Con around the hours of 2-4 possibly because I will be getting a haircut (trust me, it needs to happen).

I'm planning to head over on Friday around 5 or 6 to pick up a badge, and maybe try to get into the Sherlock screening, so, if we want to do a Friday evening meetup I can be there.
