Update: Sounds like folks are up for trying to meet at the board games library area at 10. I'll try to keep this thread updated through the day with location info. I know some people like to just wander the floor for a bit when they first get in so we can still aim to reconvene at noon.----- PAXEast is March 22-24. Anyone else planning to go? It hasn't always been the most organized meet-up but I had a lot of fun with some mefites last year. If there's enough interest, I propose a meet-up on Saturday for boardgames or PC/console freeplay.

The schedule isn't finalized yet but I assume the beanbag lounge will be in the same spot. Passes are already sold out for Saturday, but it seems like that's usually the day with the most people so I assume still best for a meet-up? If enough people are interested I will change this to confirmed.

Pretty sure I say I'm going to try and meet up with people every year and then something happens and I don't wind up finding y'all so I might as well keep the tradition alive.

I'll be at PAX East for sure, but things are always crazy so I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to make it over. If I have a location, though, I'll try to!

Seems like enough to move this to confirmed. I'll make it for Sat at noon (since 10 was a little too early for some folks last year) in the same beanbag lounge as last time.

This thread can also serve as a way for mefites to randomly connect at any time during PAX.

Re: on-site: Does meeting up at 10 AM in the boardgames area near the game library sound OK? Or is that too early? We don't necessarily have to play board games, right then – it's just less crowded than the expo or the freeplays usually.

Is there any interest in putting together a session of the Microscope RPG? It is a collaborative story-telling game where you build worlds and imagine histories together. Each player has a lot of freedom to control the focus and drive the story, moving between completely different eras of history, zooming the scope of play down from epochal to the story of one pivotal day. Basically it's like an improvised version of an Olaf Stapledon book.

I haven't played it but I'm really excited to try it out, the things it's supposed to do push all my buttons.

2-4 players, probably takes a few hours?

How about twitter, then? #mefipax + direct messages, maybe? This thread favors it.
