Lazaruslong, we meet up at a bar that has great beer and free popcorn and we talk and hang out. There's often a mix of regulars, newcomers, out-of-towners, and the occasional non-mefite. It happens weekly-ish. You can wander in late or come on time.

The ball and chain has an actual beard made of hair, attached to his person, that will destroy, I repeat destroy, any naysayers/satirists/derelicts/etc.

Unfortunately, he never goes to Brooklyn because he has a special hatred (as a child of survivors) for a rival hasidic group there. For several such groups, actually. So you will have to take my word for it.

Seriously, though, young rope-rider, I hope to see you again eventually!

Yay! Thanks so much for such a fun time in Brooklyn, y'all, and for being so kind and welcoming to my non-Metafilter buddy.

Apologies if my fanboi squeegies got annoying at any point. =D

After the meetup, I ended up meeting a friend at the bar that I had not seen in 12 years, and we sat in the corner amid the rubble of popcorn kernels and empty glasses until the bar closed at 4am. Just a lovely time all around.

Hope to see you all again soon.
