Every time there's a meetup in Atlanta, my schedule conflicts and I miss 'em. I would very much like to meet you local MeFites. Would anyone be interested in a Thursday or Saturday evening meetup in the nearish future?
I'm thinking March at the earliest. As for venue, I live north of the city in Sandy Springs but prefer somewhere closer in town, and since Manuels seemed to have good success in the past... Any takers?
It depends for us, because we have a lot of show-stuff going on. I'll keep my eye on this thread though, and if we can come, great! I just don't want people to plan around us because our lives are totally crazy.

I'm in and can probably make whenever.
I frequently go to another meetup on Thursday nights at Manuels. If it happens to be the same night, I guess that's twice as much drinking.

Manuel's is close to me and I should be able to make a meetup. Slight preference for Thursday evenings that are not the 28th.

Thursday nights are out for me, but Saturday is fine.
If it's in March, I'd be wary of doing anything around St. Patrick's day, just because there will probably be a ton of other people out and about over that weekend. The last two meetups I've been to were fun, but the places we were at got so loud that it was hard to converse, and I'd figure anything around St. Paddy's day would be even worse in terms of having an actual conversation with someone at a bar. If I'm driving all the way into town for a meetup, I'd like to be able to actually meet people and talk, not just sip my drink and nod along to whatever it is I think that they're saying. But maybe that's just me..

Thursdays or Saturdays both work for me, in general. Probably not the last week of March, but other than that, I think I could make it.

I can't do Thursdays at all.... Have rehearsal's for the new Women's project of the Atlanta Gay Men's Chorus (if any local mefites are interested....email me. they are still looking for singers...it's an AMAZING group of vocalists) But I'd be open to a Sat. And anything in Midtown works for me....

Thursday is Trivia Night, but I like the Vintage Pizza in Chamblee, for a meet up, but I'm not picky.
Manuals is a bit of a schlep for me, being in the north part of town, but I'm game.

All right, calling it 3/21 at Manuels? Now, what time do we generally want to be there? Somewhat later in the evening would be better for me ... maybe once traffic starts to be only sort of slow instead of stopped?
And yes, I'm also game for a later, non-Manuel's anywhere else in the metro area. April, maybe?

Sorry to hear that Manuel's is feeling the pressure. On the plus side, it looks like we'll get to enjoy our meet-up in a smoke-free room. And great news that the tavern plans to re-extend health benefits to its employees! I'll gladly raise a cup / an extra buck to that.
