There hasn't been one of these in Des Moines in a while. I moved here about a year ago, so let's see if there's some interest! UPDATE: Raccoon River at 5:30 PM on Saturday, January 5th. UPDATE UPDATE: Cancelling due to lack of interest
I'd rather do one downtown or in East Village, because it's close to me, but don't care really.

I will be back in town December 13th to January 13th and would love to meet up. Name the spot and I can be there, East Village and Downtown are fine to me - just not Zombie Burger I hate the food there

That's ok, Zombie Burger is always packed anyway. Let's try something mid-range-trendy, and maybe January 4th or 5th to get outside all the holiday traveling time.

I'm terrible at picking places but here are some ideas:

Raccoon River - lots of space, brewpub (and a block from my place)
Continental - Nice, not much space

I'm terrible at picking places so if anyone has a better idea let me know. :)

Other brew pubs include Rock Bottom, Granite City, and Court Ave. But I've been to all of those.

Fong's is closed Due to water damage; that's where we had it last time.

BBQ? could be problematic for vegetarians though.
