Getting Tokyo Mefites together for a meetup is like pulling teeth. Not sure why, but it's just kinda all gone to hell around here, when it comes to meetups!

Well, as for myself, I'm really busy during this period, so I don't think I'll be able to make anything. But, sp160n, I'll post a link here to a gig I have in Shinjuku on 10/31, on the off-chance that you won't be too lagged to make it...

Also, big shoutout to 23, the only other person to show up in this thread so far, AND, the only Mefier who's EVER come to one of my gigs! Haha! Hi, 23!

Hmmm, well that's unfortunate that it's so hard getting Tokyo mefites out. Well, I'll try and make it out tomorrow night flapjax, (although I'm currently sitting up wide looks like fun.

I think this is a case of 'asking the wrong question'. The actual situation is that '... it's so hard getting mefites out in Tokyo ...'; if you see what I mean.

I would wager that compared to other world-class cities (the London, New York, Paris scale of places) it is particular difficult to have evening get-togethers here. Although our public transportation system is wonderfully well-organized, it simply requires too much expenditure of resources (time and yen) to get 'out' to anywhere. We go out when we have to go out, but for something casual, it's not so easy ...

Busy this weekend and next, but maybe a weekday evening next week. I pass through Akihabara and Shinagawa on the evening commute, but most anywhere on the Yamanote is easy for me.

Thanks, 23, kind of you! And might I suggest that some of you perhaps hook up with 23 at an easy meeting point somewhere in Shibuya? (The Hachiko dog statue, although crowded, is an obvious place that everyone knows). The reason is, 23 has been to the venue once before. Anyway, just a suggestion.

Show details are here; I'll be outside Shibuya station as close to 7:30 as I can. For a meeting place I'll be standing by the bus-with-a-museum-inside that's right next to but less crowded than Hachiko.
