Meetup at the Congregation in Pasadena
posted October 7, 2012 2:19 AM   RSS | iCal | +googleCal

Sun October 14 at 6:00 PM, The Congregation
300 S Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA, USA (Map & Directions)
As discussed at the last LA meet-up, let's meet at the Congregation in Pasadena.
I think we should meet mid-month-ish, but beyond that, I'm open. What would be a good time/day for you guys?

EDIT: We are meeting at the Congregation on October 14th, at 6 PM (after bingo). See you then!

Tuesday or Wednesday after 6, or Sunday late afternoon/early evening would be my preferences.

Monday night they do happy hour all night, which is good budget-wise but it tends to end up more crowded.

Sounds like a cool idea! I definitely cannot make a weekday, but I would be able to do a Sunday depending on which Sunday it was.

I've very local to Congregation, so I'm game, family obligations allowing.

I think Wednesday is the trivia game not, so that's an option.

Depending on the Sunday, I can usually always do Sundays. I need to finally make it to one of these LA meetups one day!

I want to go. I've never been to a MeFi meetup before.

It seems that Sunday is the general pick. What Sunday would work better-- the 14th or the 21st?

The 14th would work better for me than the 21st if we're doing a Sunday evening. Also, it looks like they have bingo on Sundays after 3.

Bingo? That doesn't really sound like my idea of a good time. Does anyone know how long these games run?

I called up to ask, I was told Sunday bingo runs till around 5.

I will try to make it! But how will I know who are the MeFis when I get there? I don't actually know any of you guys yet.

I'll be on a bike ride earlier that day, but if I'm feeling ambitious I'll head to Pasadena afterwards.

I find that a kind, "Excuse me, are you from the internet?" usually gets the Job done.

If this helps, I will be wearing turquoise skinny jeans, black boots, a black batwing shirt and lots of jewelry.

I will be sporting a shaved head. But this can be dangerous. Jeans, black shoes, and a grey shirt? My name is real life is Jeff so if you see me before I see turquoise skinny jeans, give me a shout out.

can anyone tell me if Congregation is toddler-friendly? From what I've read online it sounds like the Long Beach one is, and it looks like this one has similar atmosphere, but I wanted to check.
