I am in Seattle for business THIS THURSDAY the 20th. I am staying at the SilverCloud Inn near the stadium. We should get drinks at Hooverville, because I can walk there from the hotel.

I might even bring my coworker along.

If folks do have concerns about the location, I can switch it to the elysian, but I've been to the elysian and not hooverville.

Hooverville is pretty fun, more divey than the Elysian. The area is a tad on the industrial side, but I can't really say much about it after 8 - I always went there with an afterwork crowd from the Starbucks corporate office up the street and we'd pretty much clear out by then.

If anyone were ever interested in doing anything in Seattle not involving such a loud/distracting atmosphere, I'd be up for it. I really want to go to more IRLs (!) but I apparently can't handle bars and gaming parlors.

parrot_person: I apparently can't handle bars and gaming parlors. If you do propose a meetup, you might find you have more people interested than you'd think. I don't mind bars/gaming parlors, but I have difficulty hearing anyone in them.

Loud/Distracting: Hooverville is actually pretty quiet most nights. I've conducted a lot of meetings there over the years. Free peanuts, too. I'll be up to my neck in meetings and work, but I hope you guys have fun!
