Going to Fairbanks Alaska - Any Mefites there?

I'm headed to Fairbanks the week of 8/20 - I'd love to have a drink or two with someone from Metafilter (if there are any of us there?) Maybe midweek? Looks like Wednesday the 22nd. And I think the Alaska Coffee Roasting Company. All that's left is a time...7pm work?

Hey, neat! I've actually never been to a bar in Fairbanks (usually I just drink in people's houses), so I can't recommend any (ok, except for Silver Gulch Brewery, but that's kind of a haul), but Alaska Coffee Roasting Company is a really nice coffee shop. (And near my house, which is a plus.)

It's more about getting together with Mefites to me; Alaska Coffee Roasting is as fine as anywhere else (but I'd love a good beer too!) Are there other metafilter people in Fairbanks?

Looks like I'll be up in Fairbanks that week, sightseeing mostly. How's Wednesday look? I'll be staying not too far from leahwrenn's neighborhood (and I'll be on foot).

Wednesday works great. If either of you can't get somewhere, I have a rental and I'm happy to schlep people. I'm working at the University and should be done by 6pm or so.
