I'm doing a "Goodbye To All of That", so let's hang out in the Mission because I'm leaving for the East Coast.

I've skipped the last couple of meetups because of schedule conflicts, but I can't make an excuse if it's one I organize. Plus, the Mission Bar gives us access to all sorts of wonderful foodstuffs.

PS At the bar, how will I distinguish MeFites from the unwashed masses? Is someone going to be wearing / doing something distinctive, for instance? PPS Is there a way in MF to get notified when someone posts on a thread on which you have posted?

Excellent question. Look for the people that look like they're from the Internet. If you're running late, we're probably the largest group. Alternatively, you could bring some noisy pink bubbles.

You can go up to people and ask if they're from the internet, or if they're friends of Matt's. I've done this; both work. You can also click the SanFrancisco tag and poke around in other meetup threads to see if anyone's posted pictures. And to see what's happened in threads you've posted in, go to the top of the page and click "recent activity" - this only works if you're logged in, of course, but why would you ever log out? It's cold and scary out there!

I may show up with an ulterior motive: I'd love to bestow some fresh rosemary sprigs on y'all. My formerly-well-mannered rosemary ~~plant~~ ~~bush~~ tree has decided to take over the front planter box and it's already trailing on the sidewalk. TODAY THE PLANTER BOX, TOMORROW THE WORLD MWAHAHA! Anyway, if anybody wants a bunch of rosemary, just let me know how many board-feet you can use.

Ugh. Just came home sick from work. Lunch and I are not in agreement. Boo. Looks like I might be missing this one. If you're aching for my company, and also really wanna see some opera, we're doing the Stern Grove free concert tomorrow. Free opera, outdoors. It'll likely be freezing, but the music will be really nice. I will actually be backstage for the most part, but would love to pop out and say hi to anyone who happens to be there.
