People of Louisville: Come meet MetaFilter's griphus and blisterlips (also one another maybe) at Ramsi's!

Blisterlips and I will be in Louisville between June 4th and June 6th visiting (MetaFilter-loving) friends. Let's have a meetup! Suggestions as to the night and place welcome.

Perfect - that's the bohemian/hipster epicenter of Louisville. There's an AWESOME restaurant/bar there called Ramsi's Cafe on the World. There's also, just across the street, a great dive bar called The Back Door (which is notorious for very strong drinks), and an attached arthouse movie theater.

Not to take this thread off topic, as I live in Chicago now, but I lived in Louisville for a year 15 years ago, so happened to click in when I saw Louisville in IRL. I would seriously consider coming down to Ramsi's for dinner, meetup or not. I'm just glad to hear it is still open (I actually already knew it is because my ex, who I lived in Louisville with, was down there recently and was pleased to find that it lived up to his memory's hype.) and beloved by at least one MeFite.

I will mention Ramsi's/Back Door/etc. to our hosts. Everyone involved has some sort of dietary constraint, so we (as in my girlfriend and friends) need to work around that.

Ramsi's is one of the better places in town to deal with that. (Except maybe gluten, I'm not sure if they do gluten free, but they're very Vegan friendly.) Is this a done deal, even if not Ramsi's? I wanna make sure my wife doesn't reschedule me

Ramsi's should have no problem with gluten-free, if that's a factor - they've got a gluten-free chapati bread you can get any sandwich on, and sandwiches are really just a small part of the menu. I might be there but it's my first day at a new job, so it'll be a day-of call.

Not sure if I can make it--I might be out of town that evening--but I'll do my damndest to be there. If people end up going for drinks or something after dinner, I could likely do that; I'll be back in town about 9 or so, I think. Either way, though, have fun!
